There are many different types of coffee that suit the individual.

I hope this page can provide more information for the coffee lovers.

Coffee Terminology:

Aroma -     Refers to the odour a coffee creates during brewing.

Body -       Refers to the weight and texture of a coffee in the mouth.

Flavour -    Refers to the total impression of aroma, acidity and body.

Acidity -    Characteristic of high grown coffees.

                High in acid: sharp, pleasing piquant flavour.

                Low in acid: flat and dull in flavour.

Cappuccino Single shot of espresso topped with steamed hot milk and foam, dusted with chocolate powder 25-30 ml coffee in 170-220 ml cup with 10-15 ml foam and dust with chocolate powder
Macchiato Single shot of espresso with
steamed milk, it may contain a
spoon of whipped cream
25-30 ml coffee in 70-90 ml glass with foam on top
Cafe Latte Single shot of espresso with more
quantity of steamed milk and milk foam
25-30 ml coffee in 170-220 ml glass with 10 mm of steamed milk and milk foam on top
Cafe Mocha Single shot of espresso with
chocolate syrup, topped with
steamed milk
25-30 ml coffee in 170-220 ml cup or glass with chocolate syrup and 10-15 mm foam on top
Irish Coffee Sweetened coffee with a dash of
Irish Whisky topped with whipped
cream
25-30 ml coffee in 170-220 ml glass with Irish whisky and 5 mm whipped cream
Cafe Vienna Coffee with whipped cream and topped with chocolate powder 50-60 ml coffee in 170-220 ml cup. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle of chocolate powder.
Cafe Americano
 
Espresso that is cut with very hot
water to fill an American size cup
50-60 ml coffee in 170-220 ml glass. Can be served with ice.
Ristretto Also known as Restricted Pour. It is a special short shot of coffee similar to an espresso but produced in a modified way to capture the true coffee essence. The ristretto shot is produced with a reduced volume of water and the extraction process is much shorter. 10-15 ml coffee in 70 - 90 ml cup. Traditionally  served with a glass of water.
Doppio Another name for double espresso. 50-60 ml coffee in 70 - 90 ml cup. Traditionally  served with a glass of water.
Piccolo Also known as Cortado. Piccolo is a single espresso shot in a machiatto glass, which is then filled with steamed milk in the same way as a caffe latte to give a 3 oz drink, with a 1:2 ratio of coffee to steamed milk, and about 0.5 cm of foam on the top. 25-30 ml coffee with steamed milk in 70-90 ml glass with 5 mm milk foam on top. Coffee to milk ratio is 1:2.
Affogato Coffee beverage dessert taking the form of a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso. 25-30 ml coffee in 170-220 ml glass with a scoop of ice-cream.

flavour. Exotic, fruity, intense taste.
6. Guatemala Spicy, smokey overtones. Rich,
distinctive flavour. Medium to full
body.
7. Haiti Exotic, slightly sweet. Mellow, soft
flavour. Fair to medium body.
8. Hawaii Rich, aromatic flavour.
Medium body. Mellow, smooth taste.
9. India Rich, sweet body.
Balanced, strong flavour.
Often used in Mocha blends.
10. Indonesia Spicy, sweet taste.
Rich, sweetly mellow body.
Smooth, full flavour. Leaves dry aftertaste.
11. Jamacia The famous Jamacia Blue Mountain.
Perfectly balanced flavour, aroma
and acidity.
12. Kenya Distinctive dry, winy aftertaste.
Bright, fresh, full flavour.
13. Mexico Sweet, heavy, slightly sour taste.
Attractive aroma. Light, rich flavour.
14. Nicaragua Mild, straightforward flavour.
Good aroma.
15. Papua Guinea Full, smooth, tropical flavour.
Good, slightly pungent aroma.
16. Yemen Distinctive, winy flavour.
Creamy rich, delicious aroma.
Slightly bitter aftertaste.
